The Best Way To Get Rid Of Splinters On Wood Floors

Wear and tear is the main cause of splinters on wood floors. If you get poked with a splinter, then it can get painful!

If you see a splinter, then firstly try and use the point of a utility knife to pry up the part of the splinter which isn’t attached to the wood. We recommend wearing eye goggles when attempting this, as prying splinters can cause them to fly towards your face. Clean the floor and splinter after removal and then squeeze wood glue into the groove. Place the splinter down into the groove, pushing it firmly into place.

If the splinter didn’t set back to its original position, then use fine grit sandpaper to even out the surface.
