Is it time to replace your doors in your home?

The interior doors in our properties is not something that many of us pay much attention to. It is very easy to decorate a room and just give the door a new coat of gloss but doors really can change the appearance of a room.  Doors that have no detailing to them and are often just painted plain white can look dated. You may be surprised as to what a different a timber shaped door can do.

If you are going to be leaving the doors plain just with varnish, then think about what colour varnish will match the rest of your décor. Once you have painted the doors it is very hard to remove this so only do it if you are sure you do not want to leave them as more natural. Natural wooden doors can suit any sort of home from the ultra modern to the more traditional style.

|Although wooden doors may not be as secure as UPVC doors, if you have a porch then there is no reason as to why you can’t install a wooden door on the inside of your porch. There is something about wooden doors that adds a touch of warmth and cosiness to a home which is often lacking in homes that only have UPVC.
