Are timber products hard to get hold of?

If you are looking for timber doors or gates then you may find that at present you are having to wait a little longer than maybe you would of a few years ago. This has a lot to do with the Covid lock downs which caused a lot of disruption to the distribution of timber.

Many manufacturers are working around the clock to try and keep up with demand but at times it has proved very difficult. Not only was there an issue with getting the timber at times but also more and more people looked to home improvements throughout the lock downs and there for demand also increased.

We are hoping that as the situation with Covid settles down and the world continues to get back to some sort of normal, supplies will again increase and there will no longer be an issue. We are already seeing this start to happen and timber structures are once again being built in a timely manner.

Not only did the pandemic cause issue for timber supplies but also the number of huge forest fires that happened over many places in North America. This had a knock on effect all over the world and couldn’t of come at a worse time.
