Advantages of a wooden floor in your hallway

Wooden floors can be great for almost any room in your home. They can look modern or traditional depending on what style and colour wood stain you choose. Over time if your floor looks a little tatty you can sand it down and re-varnish it again.

The hallway is a perfect place for a wooded floor as there is often a lot of traffic in a hallway and a wooden floor is a lot easier to keep clean than carpet.

It may be that you do not have access through to your back garden without going through your hallway. Taking garden waste, bins or simply walking the dog through after a walk can result in a lot of mud and debris on your floor.

Be sure to take the time to find out how to properly look after your wooden floor. It may need waxing every so often to keep it in tip top condition. Heels may well mark wooden floors although if it is harder wood you should be ok. It may still be worth while asking people to remove their shoes when they come in. If you want to make the hallway feel a little more cosy then why not add a fake fur rug.
