Fix Your Broken Door Frame

Why pay a professional to do a job you can do yourself? Today we’ll discuss how to fix a cracked door frame.

Before you do anything, remove the metal door catch and the dead bolt catch (if you have one) from the door. If there are any chunks of wood protruding, make sure to scrape away. Apply wood glue and wood filler into the crack, making sure it can get as deep as possible. Once the glue and filler has been applied, used wood clamps to squeeze the crack. Leave the clamps on for 5 hours minimum, whilst the glue and filler dries. The crack should now have disappeared for the most part. Sand the wood down, paint again and you should be done.
